- 2 tsb cacao powder
- 2 tsb sugar
- Milk (dairy, plant based - whatever you prefer)
- Whipped cream
- 2 candy canes
It's actually quite simple. No, really - it is! Start by mixing cacao powder and sugar, add a small dash of milk and mix until you get a smooth paste. Add the paste to heated milk in a pan. Taste and add more milk slowly, stirr a bit, and then add more - all the way until you've found the perfect ratio for your liking. I like mine quite strong, with lots of flavour!
Pour the hot chocolate into mugs, spritz whipped cream on top, powder some cacao powder on the whipped cream (I use a tea strainer to dust over with) and finish with adding your candy cane. The candy cane will evetually melt in your hot cocolate, creating a soft, minty taste. Yum!
