Quite frankly, I've stayed away from coconut scented body lotion ever since Upper secondary school and the day of the "coconut body butter incident". I had gotten this cream from the Body Shop for Christmas, and I had covered myself in the stuff. It was the coconut scented body butter and the smell reminded me of sun-lotion and gave me some major beach-day-vibes. I walked around, and felt happy to smell like a vacation. Because, who didn't like those, ey? I had worn it everyday that first week back from Christmas break and suddenly, in Math class, this guy in my class (hi Erik!) said: "who makes the whole classroom STINK like coconut ALL the time?" That was the last day I used my coconut body butter.
Back to present time and I've now, years later, dared to give coconut scented body care a try, yet again. I've been eyeing up the Urterkram products for a while. They are organic, easily accessible as they are stocked in most supermarkets, and - quite a stel, to be honest. A bang for your buck, if you will. This lotion of 245 ml cost me 5€.
The scent is very subtle, and nobody in the office has yet to tell me that I stink of coconut, haha. The scent is all natural, so it smells nowhere as synthetic as the slap-in-the-face-strong scent that greets you - when opening that body butter lid from the brand mentioned above... This lotion smells just like coconut water does. Devine and fresh, that is. It having a pump is very handy, too.
